Process
Before the Session
Once we sign the contract and take care of the booking retainer, the fun part begins! I'll send you an intake questionnaire to learn more about your vision for the session. We’ll discuss whether you prefer a studio session, an in-home setting, or an outdoor location, as well as the colors you envision and details about you and your family. We may even collaborate on a Pinterest board to build out inspiration and help create the session of your dreams!
During the Session
Sessions take place in my Norwell studio, the comfort of your home, or on-location, depending on your preference. Whether this is your first experience working with me, or you’re returning for a couples or maternity shoot, a session with wild toddlers, teens, or those dreamy newborns—I’m here to make it a special experience. I was born to work with children—yes, even yours! I’m especially skilled at working with kids, particularly the little ones. As your child grows and I capture your growing family, I’m committed to creating an approachable, play-oriented experience to keep everyone engaged.
Often, the best pictures happen when you're having fun. The last thing you want is to feel stressed, so please know that I bring immense patience and care to every session. With a lifetime of experience working with children—as a professional nanny, in daycares, and as a mother—I’m here to ensure a joyful and relaxed experience for you and your family.
After the Session
The day has finally arrived, and we meet at your chosen location. Maybe you've had hair and makeup done onsite, and your outfits—right down to the perfect footwear—are everything you imagined. You leave the session feeling joyful about the memories we've created and perhaps a little relieved that you've made it to the other side (maybe that’s just my wild five!). My second favorite part is heading home to load the images onto my computer and soak in all the moments we’ve captured.
Once your images are edited, they will be uploaded to an online gallery. From there, you'll select the images you’d like for your final gallery. This is also when we'll discuss options for purchasing artwork. To me, this is the most important step. I love that you have your memories and digital images, but the final step is making art—filling your walls, tables, and albums with photos of your loved ones.
