Hi There & Welcome!

Hi there & welcome to my photography blog! My name is Meri; I’m a wife, mama of 5 & the owner & photographer of Meri Lee Photography, LLC. based in Boston. I have always had a passion for capturing the moments to create everlasting memories, and photography has allowed me to do just that. From as far back as I can remember, I’ve had a camera in hand and always chasing everyone down for the perfect picture. It was NINE years in the making to finally stop letting the fear of failure prevent me from living my dream job! In 2013 I sat in my living room, snuggling my son on the couch and started typing up my plans to start my photography business. I created a name that was centered around my precious little boy, who was the main drive for me to start. I practiced my skills on family & friends but never put the dreams into reality. In 2018, I had the strong desire to start up again. I put pen to paper to start rewriting my business plan, which I then put on hold again. FINALLY in 2022 I made the leap! I spent weeks writing my plans & researching everything I needed to know about starting out. On October 20th 2022, I had my first in-home newborn session! Immediately, I knew this was the right time to put the plans I’ve worked years to create into motion! I’m now entering month 6 of my business and it brings me so much joy to be doing something I love, while still having the flexibility to be with my children.

In this blog, I will be sharing all things photography! I’ll also be sharing some of my favorite photos, and the stories behind them.

I believe that photography is more than just taking a picture; it’s about telling a story and capturing a moment in time. Whether I’m photographing a beautiful maternity, a sweet tiny baby, or a family, my goal is to create images that evoke emotion and tell a story.
